Winter Wonder Fest - Navy Pier

We decided to go to the Children's museum at Navy Pier (since we have a membership to Kohl's Children's museum that allows us to go their). We thought that while we were there, we would visit the "winter Wonder Fest". The kids had a blast, and it wasn't over crowded.

  • This is an exhibit that I assume allowed you to build your own robot... But there were no instructions or signs saying what it was. My brother had a kit of this stuff when we were kids, but I don't remember what it is called.

  • Hailey Loved the bus. While you sat in it, the song "The Wheels on the Bus..." played.
  • I could not get here away from this starring wheel. She would have sat and done this all day.
  • This was real cute. They had two buckets of water with car window squeegees in them... Like at the gas station. And they were really full of water as you can see. This was another thing I could not tear Hailey away from... Both Nate and Hailey Enjoyed this exhibit.

  • We were in the water room four about 2 minutes. That was enough. A large group (school filed trip I am guessing), came and it got too crowded.
  • We were sitting in the coal car of a train at the winter wonder fest. I use the word train loosely, as this was not a train, as it was not on tracks. The guy who was driving it was nuts and did not know how to drive. when ever we had to turn, he would wait till the last second, and then turn the wheel as far as it would go, without slowing.

  • I guess he liked it. He also liked the reaction of their red head on his right. Both of the kids next to him (we later figured out as they looked so familiar) are neighbors of ours.
